Rachel Rooney Workshop

The Children’s Bookshow allocates four free workshops for schools who attend a related theatre performance.

Rachel Rooney has run workshops for all age ranges and abilities, both as a teacher and as a children’s poet.

At the beginning of the session, Rachel will introduce herself and then read a couple of her poems. Then the class will work on creating a group poem followed by individual writing.

Towards the end of the session there will be the chance to read and share some of the work created during the workshop and ask Rachel questions.

Suitable for:
Years 4, 5 and 6

Rachel was fantastic. Would thoroughly recommend her. So inspirational. We are looking forward to using some of her ideas to write poems next week.
