Each child attending will receive a FREE copy of The Tree to take home and keep!
How did it go?
We had such a lovely few days in Torquay in Devon with one of our favourite author/illustrators Neal Layton working in collaboration with Devon Wildlife Trust and their Saving Devon's Treescapes team. Year 3 children from two local primary schools all thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful project all about the magic of trees! Each day started with a super special assembly with plentiful tree facts - did you know the oldest tree in the world is nearly 5000 years old? - and stories and live drawing, followed by a thoroughly engaging and fun collage workshop run by Neal in the classroom. We gave each child their own copy of The Tree to take home and keep.
All the beautiful artwork created by the children was displayed in Torquay library for everyone to enjoy from now until the end of the Easter holidays. We love how each piece of art has its own shape and individuality. Do pop in if you're in the area!
