Jon Agee Workshop

The Children’s Bookshow allocates four free workshops for schools who attend a related theatre performance.

Jon Agee will run a drawing project with your class. Using folded paper, markers, simple concepts and lots of imagination, children will work with Jon to create a picture that when folded looks one way, and unfolded, looks another.

Suitable for:
Years 2 and 3

The children got their books today - they were so excited, we put in the book plates that you gave us, the children even took the books outside during playtime today to share the poems with their friends!!

About Jon Agee

Photo of Jon Agee

Jon Agee is the well known author and illustrator of over 30 picture books including Terrific, Milo’s Hat Trick and most recently the acclaimed, The Wall in the Middle of the Book. He grew up in Nyack, New York, just up the street from the Hudson River. As a child he always had an art project on the go. He made picture books, comics, and – as a ten-year old, living in England – flip-books out of London tube ticket stubs. His fascination with language led to a slew of wordplay books, including four collections of palindromes, most notably: Go Hang a Salami! I’m a Lasagna Hog!
