Michael Rosen's live digital performance

How did it go?

The Children's Bookshow digital Festival opened in style this morning with the welcome return of our much loved patron, Michael Rosen. After sensitively explaining to the children his recent health issues Michael engaged us with word play of the most wonderful kind. We were treated to a generous helping of his classics including No Breathing in Class, Words Are Ours and Hot Food, we could sense hundreds of giggling and guffawing children watching around the UK. Questions, suggestions and requests came flooding in and after answering the most voted, we were gifted the grand finale... the Michael (raisin) Rosen rap. Rhyme, rhythm and a rollicking good time.

Michael Rosen

Michael Rosen wrote his first poems when he was twelve, and he has been writing ever since. He loves words, and especially loves talking to children and adults about how we can play with them. He has written many poetry collections and books for children and adults alike.
