Yasmeen Ismail performance

How did it go?

Author and illustrator, Yasmeen Ismail, raised the roof at the Northcott Exeter theatre this morning where 400 local primary children loved hearing her read her hilarious book Would You Like A Banana?! The noise was deafening as the young audience roared their response - “NO! I WON’T EAT A BANANA!!” We were captivated by Yasmeen’s live drawing and finding out about how she makes her picture books. Everyone went home with their own copy of Time For Bed, Fred. Thanks to everyone who came to this joyful morning. Also - doesn’t our poster and leaflet look fab with Yasmeen’s gorgeous artwork?

Yasmeen Ismail Workshop

Year 3 and 4 children from four lucky schools in and around Exeter enjoyed working creatively in an illustration workshop run by Yasmeen Ismail - they loved having Yasmeen in their own classroom.
