Michael Rosen performance

How did it go?

Michael Rosen performed to a sell out audience of 1050 children and their teachers at the stunning Blackpool Grand theatre. Just being in that building was thrilling enough with its red velvet seats and gold gilt ceiling let alone seeing Michael perform some of our all time favourite poems to an enraptured audience. There was lots of joining in with No Breathing, The Rhythm of Life and of course, Chocolate Cake and so much laughter! Every child left the theatre clutching their very own copy of Michael's Big Book of Bad Things to take home and keep.

Kate Wakeling Workshop in Blackpool

Children from four lucky Blackpool schools enjoyed working with the brilliant poet Kate Wakeling on their poetry writing skills in their own classroom.

Michael Rosen

Michael Rosen wrote his first poems when he was twelve, and he has been writing ever since. He loves words, and especially loves talking to children and adults about how we can play with them. He has written many poetry collections and books for children and adults alike.

One of our most popular writers - the champion for every bored, overdrilled, tested-to-tears pupil in the land
