Yasmeen Ismail performance

How did it go?

Wow! What a show we had with the warm and funny author and illustrator Yasmeen Ismail. Children and teachers from 5 schools local to The Stables were smiling and laughing from start to finish as Yasmeen performed her stories, Would You Like A Banana and Time For Bed Fred, and led two very interactive live drawing sessions. Any child answering a question correctly was offered their own bananas, which were passed through the audience - hilarious! All the children were delighted with their free copy of Time for Bed Fred.

What people said:

The Bookshow with Yasmeen was absolutely brilliant! The children loved every second and were so engaged by the performance. They all wanted to be in the afternoon session and felt very inspired to draw and write. They loved getting their own book - I think this was a real highlight for them! Most of the class then went home and used it as their bedtime reading, sharing it with their family.
