The Power of Nature
Throughout these very difficult long months, when so many people have suffered terrible losses, something stands out very clearly: from small children to grandparents we have found some consolation in nature.
Whether it was the wonder of seeing birds, bees and butterflies more clearly in our newly clean skies or tending to first time vegetable patches in back gardens, we found something joyful to engage us.
Great poets from Thomas Hardy to Edward Thomas have celebrated the wonders of nature in their work, and over the next month we will be sharing poems, books and illustrations we love that take their inspiration from the natural world.
