Daniel Morden Workshop in Newcastle
The Children’s Bookshow allocates four free workshops for schools who attend a related theatre performance.

In this lively and interactive workshop, Daniel Morden works with children to help them develop their own narrative skills. The focus of the workshop will be on creating a convincing and satisfying story. After a brief introduction and discussion, Daniel will tell a traditional tale. He will then discuss the structure of the story. The children will use that structure to write their own versions.

About Daniel Morden
Daniel Morden is a master storyteller. He has travelled the world collecting and telling stories, from South Wales to Haiti. (Daniel has always been a storyteller even as a child walking to and from school.) He has been storyteller in residence at both the Royal National Theatre and the Barbican Centre in London, and has adapted stories for the theatre, television and radio. Daniel really enjoys retelling traditional Welsh folktales and his latest book published by Gomer is Secret Tales from Wales introducing us to eight secret or forgotten stories.
