French-Canadian Marianne Dubuc, an award-winning author and illustrator, whose award-winning The Lion and the Bird has been translated into many languages, will be talking about and showing her brilliant picture books with Sarah Ardizzone (prize-winning translator of Daniel Pennac amongst many others). Ranging from a tender story about a friendship between a lion and a bird with a broken wing, to the hilarious journey of Mr. Postmouse making his rounds, there will be much to move and delight both children and adults in this sparkling performance. Marianne won the TD Prize for children's literature in 2015, an annual award presented to the year's best work of children's literature.
